Our leak-proof bagasse range is built with a sealed rim rather than a simple fold, so a lidded container holds liquid at an angle rather than only when level. If sauce is a meaningful part of what leaves your kitchen, order this line as a sample first and tip one over yourself. We would rather you tested it on our sample kit than on a customer's order.

Will clamshells hold saucy or oily food?

Yes, bagasse is naturally grease-resistant and holds hot, saucy food well without a plastic lining.

Are they microwave safe?

Bagasse containers are microwave-safe. Avoid prolonged oven use unless the page states oven-safe.

Are kraft boxes compostable?

Uncoated kraft is recyclable and compostable; PE-lined kraft is recyclable, not compostable. Each page says which.
