Bring nature to the table on palm leaf tableware
Our impact
Our Impact Philosophy
At EarthCleanse, impact is measured by the lives uplifted, the communities empowered, and the environmental footprint reduced. Our work directly supports tribal artisans, women-led production clusters, rural micro-entrepreneurs, and individuals from marginalized backgrounds. This page highlights the results and real outcomes of our mission.
Empowering Tribal & Rural Communities
EarthCleanse partners with tribal communities whose traditional crafts form the foundation of many of our natural-material products. These groups often face economic isolation, and our partnerships create stable income and long-term dignity through skill-based employment.
- Employment in leaf collection, drying, shaping, stitching, and eco-product crafting.
- Fair wages significantly above local agricultural labor rates.
- Safe, hygienic, and non-exploitative working environments.
- Revival of cultural craftsmanship and traditional forest-based skills.
- Income stability for families previously dependent on seasonal or inconsistent work.
Women Empowerment & Income Generation
Women form the core of EarthCleanse’s impact model. Many women employed in our partner hubs had limited access to income opportunities before joining our programs. Today, these women lead production clusters, manage micro-units, and contribute to household financial independence.
- 70–80% of production network roles held by women.
- Leadership roles for skilled women artisans.
- Flexible work schedules suitable for caregivers and mothers.
- Training in production, quality control, and cluster management.
- Household income increases enabling better education and nutrition for families.
Micro-Entrepreneurs & Community-Owned Units
Through our decentralized manufacturing model, EarthCleanse supports the growth of rural micro-entrepreneurs. These individuals run small-scale production units that supply certified, high-quality products.
In the lush plantations of South India, Areca palm leaves fall naturally from trees once their life cycle is complete. Local artisans carefully collect these fallen leaves — no trees are ever cut — and press them into elegant, durable plates and bowls using only heat and pressure. Every piece carries its own grain, texture, and golden tone, showcasing the art of nature in its purest form.
EarthCleanse offers micro-entrepreneurs opportunities to become self-sustained revenue generators by going from farm to farm, collecting fallen palm leaves by purchasing them from farmers, and bringing them to the centralized processing plant where the leaves are manually dried by rural women, segregated into different grades, and stored for final manufacturing.
